The Youth World Qualifying event for 29ers wrapped up last week with at Sarasota Yacht Club. All four Canadian boats competing in a fleet of 13 boats were grateful for the excellent conditions on the first two days of racing. No sailing on the last day due to no wind was no doubt a disappointment. Competition was fierce; despite long races the first windward marks where always congested. Alanna Foscarini & Alison Ludzki from the Ontario Sailing team came though with a 4^th place finish qualifying them for the Youth Words for a second time. Congratulations go to both them and Eric Chouinard & Alex Chouinard from Quebec for qualifying to represent Canada this summer in Denmark this coming July.
