The Ontario Sailing Team exists to provide support for Ontario ’s top athletes who are working towards status on the National Sports Centre ( Ontario ) Team, the Canadian National Youth Team, and ultimately the Canadian National Sailing Team. The Quest for Gold (QFG) Elite Team automatically includes all the athletes that have applied and received Ontario Cards in the QFG program for the current year. In order to be on this team you must train at one of the thirteen Centres’. The OST sailors must train out of one of the Training Centre’s’ in order to be selected for membership on the team. Membership The Ontario Sailing Team is comprised of 25-30 athletes. All team members are selected based on results, on-water training programs, as well as participation in dry land training.
